Experience the perfect blend of thrilling wildlife adventure and tropical beach bliss with this 9-Days Safari & Seascape journey through Tanzania’s diverse landscapes. Start your adventure in Ruaha National Park, East Africa’s largest and most remote reserve, where iconic wildlife like lions, elephants, wild dogs, and buffalo roam freely. Spend four nights at the luxurious Jabali Ridge, an elegant camp nestled among ancient baobabs with sweeping views of the Mwagusi River. Each day, set out on expertly guided game drives and walking safaris to explore the untamed bush, witness nocturnal predators, and connect with the rhythms of the wild.
After your safari experience, fly to the sun-kissed shores of Zanzibar for four nights of beachfront bliss at the exclusive Matemwe Retreat. Located on the island’s northeast coast, each private villa features a plunge pool, ocean views, and personalized butler service. Swim in warm turquoise waters, snorkel over vibrant coral reefs, sail in traditional dhow boats, or relax under palm trees with a book and a cocktail. If you’re seeking thrilling adventure or peaceful escape, this itinerary offers the perfect balance of safari excitement and tropical relaxation — a truly unforgettable Tanzanian experience.
East Africa’s biggest national park, Ruaha, is the gateway to Tanzania’s safari, and you will arrive this morning after your flight and transfer from the airport. Entering the gates of the reserve, dense grasslands and rolling bushveld will seduce you, while images of East Africa’s indigenous wildlife will stretch towards the horizon. Check in at the Jabali Ridge – a stylish camp in the wildlife-rich Ruaha National Park, set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Mwagusi River and Ikuka escarpment.
A landscape of sun-bleached plains, mighty baobabs and hardy shrubs, Ruaha is home to large numbers of lion, elephant, buffalo and even endangered African wild dogs. During the rainy season, visitors can hear the incredible thundering of the Ikuka waterfalls and even witness the Mwagusi beginning to flow after being dry for seven months. The dry season is equally exciting, with opportunities to spot buffalo herds in the riverbed and elephants digging in the sand for water.

Coruscating coral reefs lie just off Matemwe’s coastline, you may snorkel across these rich marine ecosystems. Swimming in the balmy sea with professional snorkeling equipment, you may dive beneath glistening water to witness the colorful sea life wading amongst spiky anemones. Another way to admire the marine beauty of Matemwe is by boat, and you may enjoy a traditional wooden dhow boat tour or deep-sea fishing on a trawler. Depending on your preference, you may spend your seafaring afternoons peacefully taking in the panoramic views or thrillingly attempting to catch massive fish.
There is no denying Matemwe’s impressive marine characteristics, however, the region is also home to rich forests that veil its headlands and a collection of indigenous wildlife inhabiting these prolific environments. You may join a guide and follow shaded trails that weave across the Jozani Forest to waterfalls cascading over the rocky hills. As you picnic beneath the emerald canopy, you will hear the sounds of birds singing from the trees and catch a glimpse of monkeys leaping between the branches.

Either reading a good book under the palms or kayaking across the sparkling waters, you will be dazzled by the majesty of this far-flung destination and be seduced by the tranquility of its tropical charm. let’s know more About Tanzania
The dry season, from June to October, is ideal for safaris due to excellent wildlife viewing. This period offers clear skies and easy game spotting. The Great Migration occurs in the Serengeti during this time, making it one of the most popular and rewarding seasons for safari enthusiasts.
Top parks include the Serengeti for the Great Migration, Ngorongoro Crater for Big Five sightings, Tarangire for elephants and baobabs, and Selous or Ruaha for off-the-beaten-path experiences. Each park offers unique landscapes and wildlife encounters, allowing travellers to experience Tanzania’s rich biodiversity and iconic safari moments.
A typical safari lasts 5 to 10 days, depending on how many parks you wish to visit. Shorter trips are great for focused experiences, while longer itineraries allow for deeper exploration. Adding a Zanzibar beach extension is popular for relaxation after the wildlife adventure.
Tanzania is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — plus cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, and hundreds of bird species. The Serengeti also hosts the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of fresh grazing.
Yes, many lodges offer family-friendly options and activities for children. Some camps provide junior ranger programs, nature walks, and flexible game drives. Always check age restrictions for certain parks or lodges. A family safari can be an educational, exciting, and unforgettable bonding experience for kids and parents alike.
Pack lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. Don’t forget binoculars, a camera, insect repellent, and any required medications. Mornings can be chilly, so include a light jacket. Most lodges offer laundry services, allowing you to pack light while staying comfortable throughout your safari.
