Booking Terms & Conditions

The Reservation

A minimum of 30% of the total price is required at the time of booking and the balance no latter than 30 days prior to the departure of the safari.

For overseas bookings payments can be made in US dollars.

Residents pay in local currency at the rate of exchange applicable at the time of payment. Late bookings Full payment is due at the time of booking for reservation made within 30 days prior to the commencement of the tours.

Modification of tour

If you choose to modify the arrangements after the commencement of the tour i.e. change accommodation or the duration of your stay, the com pany can accept no liability for any loss or additional expense and no refunds will be made.

Rates/ Prices

Tour prices include: All expenses for drivers and vehicles appropriat e for the itinerary as set out. i.e. for transfers, game drives, drive rs allowances unless stated in the itinerary. Government hotel taxes, training levy and service charges, all park entry fees except where sp ecifically indicated separately. Normal communication costs incurred to make the reservation.

Tour price exclude: Personal insurance, Airport taxes, landing fees for charters and visas, gratuities to drivers and porters (other than hotel service charge), Beverages (unless otherwise indicated), Laundry, other personal expenses of tour members (i.e. telephone calls etc), any other tour services requested that do not appear in the itinerary.

Payment Terms

Full payment is due at the time of booking for reservations made within 60 days prior to the travelling date.

Tour Cancellation

Tour cancellation conditions are determined by the fact that once hotel , Safari lodge/ camps , local domestic airlines or services are booked on your behalf, we shall incur a cancellation fee if we are required to cancel the booking. We try to keep such cancellation charges to a minimum and they apply as follows calculated as a percentage of the total price:

Cancellation up to 60 days prior to commencement of the safari: Zero cancellation charges, Less Bank Charges.

Cancellation between 60-30 days prior travel date: 50% cancellation charges.

Cancellation less than 30 days prior travel date: 100% cancellation charges.

In the event of a cancellation, please be advised that a 5% administrative fee will be levied to account for transaction charges.

If you are a no-show, if you cancel your day tour/ trip or safari after the departure date, or if you leave a trip already in progress, you will not receive any refund for any unused portion of your trip. There is no right to a refund for any unused services.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you must cancel your Trip/ Safari, you must do so in writing. We will not accept cancellations made by Phone. Cancellation charges will be calculated as of the date we receive your cancellation. Cancellation charges and refunds shall be calculated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Eseki Luxury Travel cancellation policy.

Payment by Credit Cards

We can also accept payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) through our secure online payment system. Once your booking is confirmed & your sales consultant has emailed you the invoice, you will then receive an email from Eseki Luxury Travel which will have a link that directs you to our secure online payment system, where you can enter your details and process your payment.

Your credit card company may add its own handling fee for processing a payment outside your home country. If the final balance is paid by credit card then a transaction fee of 5% is added to the amount of the balance to cover the credit card processing charges. Payment can also be made by debit card in the same way as credit cards but the banks in Kenya apply the same transaction fee for debit cards as for credit cards, so a fee of 5% is also added for payment of the final balance by debit card.

Changes to Reservations

If you make changes to your reservation that affect the departure city or make changes to your departure date or destination, it will be treated as a cancellation and the relevant cancellation charges will apply. Traveler substitutions are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation charges. On all tours, you have the option to enjoy breakaway travel at the end of your Safari, subject to flight availability.

This option enables you to travel on your own wherever you choose. You will be responsible for confirming your international flight back to your home country. and for your own transfers to the airport. All arrangements for breakaway travel must be requested in writing no later than 45 days prior to departure. Confirmation information will be available approximately 30 days before your departure. Consult our reservations staff for details.

All traveler requests, including Breakaways, preferred air schedules, and special accommodations, are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, and charges may apply. If Eseki Luxury Travel cancels any optional extension which you have purchased, you will receive a refund of the amount you paid for the extension.

However, if you subsequently decide to cancel the base (main) portion of your trip, cancellation charges will apply. Eseki Luxury Travel reserves the right to cancel or shorten a trip without notice, in which event your sole remedy shall be a prorated refund for any unused portion of the trip.

Itineraries

Demand for safaris can be high and may lead to shortage of the specified hotel/lodge/ tented camp accommodation. All bookings will be confirmed, but on occasions changes may be necessary.

Hotel, Lodges and tented camps, here specifically named are given as an indication of the category and rooms may be reserved at similar Lodges/ hotels/ tented ca mps.

We undertake to advise you of any changes known to us prior to departure, but the possibility of change without notice, must be accepted when booking.

Wherever possible we book rooms with private baths/showers throughout on the basis of two persons sharing a double room.

Single rooms are a vailable at supplementary cost but neither single room nor rooms with private bath/showers can be guaranteed.

Safari minibuses, cars, four wheel drive or coaches will be provided according to the route and number of participants. The right is reserved to employ the services of subcontractors. English speaking driver/guides are provided.

Occasional mechanical problems, changes of lodge or adverse road cond itions may in turn lead to change in routing or game viewing without prior notice being given.

We reserve the right to offer substitutes of equal value to cancel the operation of any tour. In practice, Very few itineraries are affected but a little flexibility on your part will ensure the tour is unique and rewarding.
