Ras Kutani is a 15 minute charter flight south of Dar es Salaam or a couple of hours by road, on the Tanzanian mainland coast .  It is in a beautifully secluded spot that is still a hidden gem in comparison to the more popular beaches of Zanzibar.
 
The sandy paths wind through the undergrowth leading to the main restaurant area, the swimming pool and guest rooms.  The main area is all completely open and blends in fantastically with the surrounding environment.  It is relaxed, laid back and the restaurant staff are always there, on hand, to attend to any requests.
 
The cottages are spread along the coast with views overlooking the sea and the fresh water lagoon.  They are large open, private huts that come with a thatched roof and a spacious veranda where you can relax in complete privacy.  The suites are similar but much bigger and sit further up in the forest with a spectacular panoramic view of the coast line and monkeys for companions. They also have private plunge pools; which are perfect for any Tanzania honeymoon treat.
